Our Process

Money Managers Inc. are financial advisors with offices in the city of Orange in Orange County, and Atascadero, San Luis Obispo County, California.

Many financial advisory firms purport to offer planning services, but very few do it well. We are one of those few. Whether your goal is retirement or otherwise, we can help you meet those goals. Our typical financial plan consists of 15 to 30 hours of work in creating a thorough, customized living document. We leave virtually no stones unturned in the planning process. Upon completion, we will provide you with actionable, understandable recommendations that we will be glad to help you implement.

Here are some of the common areas we cover in our plans:

Retirement Readiness Check – We run retirement projections to determine when you can safely retire and what type of lifestyle you will be able to lead.

Tax efficiency – We may identify potential opportunities for tax savings, both prior to and during retirement. Although your accountant understands income taxes, because they may not fully understand all aspects of your financial picture there may be tax-saving opportunities that we can help identify. For example using ROTH IRA’s and Traditional IRA’s are ways to help with tax efficiency planning.

Insurance Planning – We evaluate all of your insurance policies for sufficiency and cost-effectiveness. Gaps in coverage can lead to potentially catastrophic results, especially for those who have worked hard to amass wealth. We can help you identify and close these gaps.

Investment Planning – We will make customized portfolio recommendations for all of your investment accounts.

Real Estate Planning – Whether you own an extensive real estate portfolio or just your own residence, we can help you navigate the myriad of considerations in helping maximize the return on your equity. We can also help you determine when the ideal time is to sell, gift or otherwise transfer your real estate.

Business planning – If you are looking to buy or sell a business, we can help you evaluate all considerations.

Social Security Planning – Social Security is far more complicated than the average person realizes. Carefully choosing a Social Security retirement claims strategy can potentially make a six-figure impact on how much you and/or your spouse will receive over your lifetimes. We can help you navigate little-known strategies that could help you receive dramatically more Social Security Income.

Cash Flow Planning – This isn’t “fun” work for most of our clients, but oftentimes we find people need help in constructing and maintaining a workable budget. We are experts at helping our clients develop simple and effective strategies for monitoring their cash flow.

Beneficiary Planning – Did you know that beneficiary designations on retirement accounts, such as 401(k)s and IRAs, life insurance policies and many other types of assets supersede elections you have made in your will? We will help you review your beneficiary designations to make sure they are consistent with your wishes.

Estate Planning – We can help make appropriate recommendations for creating or updating your wills, trusts, health care directives, powers of attorney, etc. If your estate is large enough to potentially be subject to estate taxes we can identify potential tax-avoidance strategies.

Charitable giving – If you have charitable intentions, we can identify strategies that will benefit the charities of your choice while maximizing benefits to you, such as tax savings and potential income.
